Continuing on from yesterdays post. If you need a distraction these books are perfect. I couldn’t put them down.
WARNING: This post contains spoilers!
I don’t think i’ve ever read a book from the Dystopian genre and I wasn’t disappointed! First of all let me say that I find that when an author throws in too many different POV’s you lose perspective on what’s going on. The point they are trying to make especially when the POV’s are so completely…different! And I did not get that impression with “The Moon Dwellers”. In fact I thought it was written quite well. The characters, the creative world that David made was just remarkable. 😀
What made me want to keep reading? Though it may not be a “love at first sight” kind of book, there is seriously something going on between Tristan and Adele. When they first set eyes on each other I was confused because really, just by looking at someone you get a headache. Hummm don’t know about that… But that right there is the reason I needed to keep reading. The mystery behind that one incident made me “all in”!
Adele is an amazing character, thrown in jail for no reason at all. The events that transpired in her life made her cold and resistant to anything good. She is an intelligent, sassy and strong young woman. She has so much love in her but up until the point where she meets Cole and Tawni nothing good has happened to her. And I mean so-so good lol because they had a long hard road ahead of themselves. A journey filled with uncertainty (Tristan), of death (Cole), of happiness (Tawni, El & her father) and fear (the journey itself).
Was Adele’s lost kiss with Tristan her one and only chance at love?
In her world there’s only one rule: Someone must die.
I loved this book just as much as the first one if not more. I loved that it picked up right where it left off. And the emotions!!! It’s just so full of them…I felt everything they felt. The happiness, the sorrow, hate and rage everything just jumped off the pages.
Adele the female heroin of the story once again is portrayed as a strong willed individual. For someone so young she is quite mature. Doing whatever is necessary for those she cares about.
I loved that she was able to reunite with her father; things with Tristan are coming together. Roc is also an amazing character making some of the tough situations seem light with his humor. And then the journey she takes expecting to break her mother out of prison only to find out that she’s one of the seven generals of the star realm! And I cant forget Roc and Twani, the revelation of there feelings for each other made it that more intriguing. <– Perfection!
The different POV’s once again were written very well. Both Tristan and Adele’s views were in sync so there was no confusion.
Flawless from beginning to end!
There’s only one truth in their world: someone must die.
Once again just as the previous 2 books in the Dwellers Saga The Sun Dwellers is AMAZING! Though unlike the others I felt this one was sadder. There were parts that you could laugh and smile but oohhhh the sorrow. Yet those events that took place are which made me what to cry are the same ones that made me want to rebel along with them. All the characters have noticeably grown. Determined to finish the mission they set out to do for the fate of the Tri-Realms rest in there hands. Spectacularly written!
I enjoyed reading why Adele and Tristan were drawn to each other. The roles both mothers played in making it so that one day in the future these two young, good hearted souls would meet and join forces to make a difference in there world.
I cringed when the “father” spoke of all the horrid things he did. That man is beyond evil! And the more I read the more I hated him. I loved that every character had a role to play. That even the strongest people need help and support from others.
“She told me she needed your help. She told me that she never would have escaped the Pen, never would have rescued her sister, never would have done any of the incredible things she’s done without you.”
“What? She said that?”
“Yes, Tawni, She thinks the world of you, and believe it or not, she needs you as much as you need her. We all need each other. Together is the only was we’re going to get through this. Together.”
Loved it and can’t wait for more!
Expected publication: September 5th 2013
The Earth Dwellers is the 4th book in BOTH The Dwellers Saga and The Country Saga. The author recommends that BOTH series are read in their entirety before reading this book (The Moon Dwellers, The Star Dwellers, The Sun Dwellers, Fire Country, Ice Country, Water & Storm Country).

At the same time, Dazz must convince the new ice country consortium to the Unity Alliance, a pact with the Tri-Tribes that may be their only hope of survival.
Meanwhile, Tristan is forced to face his greatest challenge, the unification of the Tri-Realms, in an attempt to garner support against Lecter and the earth dwellers.
Finally, Siena and the Tri-Tribes march on the Glass City in an attempt to take the fight to Lecter and his army of killers.
