Book Description

Publication Date: April 30, 2013
In The Gatekeeper’s Sons, Therese and Thanatos, the god of death, met and fell in love. In The Gatekeeper’s Challenge, they did everything they could to be together, even break an oath on the River Styx. But the Olympians don’t tolerate oath-breakers.In this third book in the saga, The Gatekeeper’s Daughter, Therese may have finally succeeded in becoming a goddess, but if she wants to remain one, she’ll not only have to discover her unique purpose, but also make some allies among the gods. Artemis sends her on a seemingly impossible quest across the world, while Than searches for a way to appease Ares. To make matters worse, her baby sister’s life depends on the outcome of her quest.

My Review

In the Gatekeepers Saga Therese and Than have had to go through so much to be together. As if dating isn’t hard enough! Therese had to go and fall for a God, the God of Death. They managed to fight against all who were apposed to the relationship; Ares specifically. In book 1 The Gatekeepers Son’s Therese was sent into battle to avenge her parent murder. In book 2 The Gatekeeper’s Challenge she had to complete 5 challenges to prove her worth. Though she failed the last challenge they found a way to make

In this book Pohler starts off right where she left off. Therese a God! Yay!! Something good right? Wrong! In order for Therese to stay a God she must find her purpose. I had my fingers crossed the entire time. 😉 Through her contemplation on what her purpose could be we are presented with more obstacles. Out smarting the God’s isn’t easy. And when she thinks she has a decent plan something else goes wrong. If Therese is anything, she’s a fighter. She has a caring soul. And even though the odds seem to be against her she pushes on and tries to do the right thing. In the different quest she has to accomplish I believe she grows up and really finds who she wants to be; as a person/God. She finds her purpose and it suites her so well.

The ending was perfect and now that I’ve finished it I am so happy more books will be released. There are so many wonderful characters in this story and I want to know more about them.

“Therese circled her arms around Than’s neck and pressed her lips hard against his. “I love you so much! Sometimes it hurts and feel’s good at the same time!””
