Forced to face fears from her childhood, Olivia’s life isn’t what she thought it was destined to be and the people in her life aren’t who she thought they were.

Ok this is going to be a tough one without giving too much away. Broken Ever After was an extreme emotional roller coaster. I don’t even know how to express me feelings about this book. The twist and turns have me feeling dizzy and it’s been a few days since I finished it! I tried to let it all simmer in my brain but my heart is still sore.
Our main character, Olivia Stevens (Liv), is an 18 year old student who has a major crush on her math teacher. Now a situation such as a teacher having relationship with a student is looked down upon. But I believe Graham did a wonderful job writing it.
At first she seems like a shy, innocent teenager but as the story progresses we find out a truth that ripped me apart. Everyone has secrets but Liv’s is something she has battled with for a long time. She keeps boys at bay, but is it because of her feelings for Mr. Matthews or is it because of her past?
Mr. Matthews (Jamie) is a 26 year old math teacher and he find himself drawn to one of his students and though he knows it’s wrong, he just can’t help himself.
The blooming of the beginning of their relationship was sweet. Jamie never pressured Liv to do anything she wasn’t ready for. This being her first real relationship they took things slow and quickly fell in love. But when things seem wonderful everything goes to HELL!
There are so many factors in this story that you don’t realize at first. Graham gave us sex, love, hate, deceit, a huge plot against an innocent child and heart break all rapped up into 300 pages.
As debut novels goes I was pleased with how it all came together. Broken Ever After didn’t end with any major cliffhanger but there is definitely more to be told about this couple. I can’t wait to see what Graham gives us in book 2!
